A very interesting documentaryabout the role of new media in the organisation of political protests and in particular about the Chotbul (”candlelight”) political rallies that paralysed the city of Seoul from May to August 2008.

“Shall we protest?” is a completely free documentary written, directed and produced by Sungmi Cho and Dongwon Jo, two South Korean mediactivists.

The documentary explains with details and passion how a small online forum (the SoulDresser) managed to bring 1 million citizens in the streets to protest angainst the Korean president and the Korea/USA Trade Agreements in 2008.

A  very important source of information for all people interested in  new media and in the new form of political organisation they create.
